This is a big day!

This weekend was always going to be a little bit exciting. I'll be putting in a shift at the Seattle Green Festival. Lara will be giving me my first taste of Mark and Jenna's Whimsy & Spice products. Those 2 things alone were enough for my sedate idea of revelry.

Then a few days ago I was reminded that HH the Dalai Lama is in town for a big conference, Seeds of Compassion. I was slapping myself that I'd forgotten to send for tickets. You should have seen me...all down in the mouth. I wanted so badly to see him in person that I was combing the web looking for some way to work it out. Then Lara called, all excited, saying she, Maria and Per had just seen him! I couldn't believe my ears..."In person?" I asked. "Yes!"

As happy as I was for them, my longing increased painfully. At which point she said, "Oh, by the way, Maria and Dan have extra tickets for the main event tomorrow. Can you join them?" I was numb, not believing my ears. Well, that's just what's going to happen: I'm going to SOMEHOW get done with my GreenFest shift and scamper over to Qwest Field. My dream will come true through hell or high water. I have a little Buddha in my pocket ready to get a chi boost from HH. Life is good.
