Handmade

You all have probably figured out by now that I love etsy. It's good in so many ways... I love browsing there. Endlessly browsing because there's so much to love. Thousands of vendors, including Mark and Jenna's shop. But mostly I love supporting these feisty artists who won't give up their passions and creative endeavors. They have so much to give but very few have outlets to show off their stuff, so I'm very happy for places like etsy. Today I took a pledge to buy handmade goods...see my badge on the right of my page here. If you want to take the pledge, just click here: badge. Makes me think, "hmmmm, can I do something homemade???" That's good...I think it would be good for our collective peace of mind if everyone let out their inner Picasso.

I love this picture..it's a rose from the rosa rugosa bush in the front yard. This year I may even have enough rose hips to make some jam. It's terribly thorny and invasive, but it has it's good side, too. Namely the jam thing. The bee in the center was ecstatically swimming in pollen. He looked like he was trying to dig down as deep as he could...and wouldn't leave, even with me hovering around. These flowers must be the best of the best for bees.
