This is for you, Marie!

I truly have been 'otherwise' occupied for the last couple of months....so much going on, culminating in a change of address. Am now living on my own. Big change! Therefore, the blog went by the wayside. I had nothing else on my mind but this business of running away from home, but now the brain cells are waking up and I might be able to find something to talk about besides leaving my husband.

To set it straight....I have a lease on a great little apartment. It's up at the end of July. We will decide then if we know what to do or not, if we want more time to fiddle around with it, etc. D. is extremely patient and good-natured about it all and has been more than accommodating, making my life easier as I sort through all my issues.

Here are a few pictures of the apartment slowly getting filled with furniture. My first "decorating" attempt was to use the pidgin magnets that a friend gave me to spruce up the fridge a little. The magnet picture shown here was done by a friend who just went to Hawaii for the 1st time and fell in love with pidgin. He took forever to do this (it's not easy), but he was quite proud of his magnet work!
