It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Market from my apartment. Probably takes 40 minutes to get home...well, maybe not that long, but the uphill climb is challenging. My solution? Stop and take pictures on the way up. Worked...I didn't pant and chuff at all.
So some of the pictures here are of the silk screen art proclaiming the upcoming Procession of the Species, the mosaic on our new 4th Avenue bridge (the one that got replaced after the 2001 earthquake), a window near the entrance of the Oyster House restaurant,& flowers on the uphill.
There were lots more things to take pictures of but my battery was low. I finally figured it needed replacing so have one on order. Perhaps my pictures will also come out better with a fresh battery, you think? Anyway, there was lots of boat activity with the on-board sailors looking eager for some day travelling. There were tons of kids in the park but I tend not to take pictures of them anyway. That seems a little invasive. Oh, and some strange characters, as usual, strolling on the boardwalk. I love all the varieties of humans we have here and would be bored with any city that didn't have our diversity.
