After an exciting Mother's Day I got up early this a.m. to get ready to fly home. Was glad I did the hard packing last night. My brain was pure sludge when it came to making the big decisions: do I take Sudoku or not? How many books should I take on the plane? Should I take the airplane pillow or give it to the girls' dolls? Making those decisions at 11 p.m. was unwise as far as efficiency, but this morning I was glad to have it all behind me.
Mia and Claudine rode in back. Mia was kinda zoned out from allergy meds, I think, so all was quiet from her side of the car. Claudine, however, sang Toot and Puddle (yo!) many times until the thumb went in her mouth. They walked me into the terminal, a rare treat that I appreciated so much! Gave me opportunities for lots of goodbyes. I will miss them.
Here are pictures from our Mother's Day picnic in Prospect Park. It was a perfect day for a picnic and we all had fun. What more could I want?
