Friendships

I just had a surprising visit from a woman I've only recently met. She works where I volunteer and we noticed that we were clicking a lot, but due to our great work ethic, we don't get much talking done. She came over tonight and we just tucked into one good conversation after another. Even though she's much younger, we seem to have parallel lives, lessons, interests, beliefs. It's not often one gets such a gift. It's rare to find someone with so many things in common and at such a deep level.

Actually, I have many wonderful friends and they all give me something. I hope I give them something as well. Some of them are incredibly fun, some teach me, some need me. Some of them are my buddies for specific things: taking pictures or going to downtown events. I wouldn't give any of them up. So I guess you could say I'm blessed to have such a perfect balance of friends. Wow.
