Lara posted this link on her facebook...I watched it and had to put it on my facebook, too, and now here. This is funny and wise in Ellen's incredible way so I have to put it where I can find it easily. And hope that my wide audience will also love it.
By the way, today is Memorial Day. I chose to spend the day at home alone, being quiet. I have consequently been drawn to think about all the people who serve our country and die for our country. What we don't remember as much is that many of these people come home with physical and mental disabilities. And that their families suffer the consequences as well. I applaud those who rise above the trauma, but my heart goes out to those for whom the trauma is still a painful burden. Thank you so much for all you've done. Let's just try to find another way to settle our differences, please.
If you know someone who has PTSD or have it yourself, here is a list of coping tips.
