As I was riding from airport to Mark and Jenna's (in Brooklyn) I had the feeling I was coming home. Probably because I've been here so often. The weather was so pleasant, the traffic was honk-y, and there was construction everywhere. All very familiar and welcoming so it's no wonder it feels like home.
Today Mark was at the Flea...I thought for sure I would want to go, but Jenna suggested we walk to the Farmer's Market instead. It was a perfect day! We got a few veggies and grapes, then walked to the arch where a small group was playing music. Mia took pictures with my camera, I took some with my iPhone camera and Jenna took pictures with her "real" camera. I'll post some later. Little Mia is quite the shutterbug.
The market is located right on the Grand Army Plaza which I just looked up in wikipedia. I can't believe it's an 11 acre plaza...read it for yourself here! Have I ever said before how much I love being in Brooklyn? It's so incredibly full of things to see and do.
After that we went to Prospect Park, which borders the Plaza. We laid on a mat on the ground..well, I did. The girls ran around and played frisbie. A very laid back day.
