Whew...not only did all the projects get done, but the apartment is clean! Yay me.
Surgery's finished, too. It was so easy and interesting, too. How they get a wire in there with such accuracy was quite the puzzle to me, until the end of the procedure at which time the light dawned. They put a hollow needle in first. Then they fix the needle with great accuracy (and futzing around) to the coordinates and right at the metal clip that was inserted during the biopsy. Then, when it is just so, they feed a wire through the hollow tube. The end of the wire is kind of a hook. when it comes out of the needle it expands (not unlike a molly bolt) to anchor itself there. They take xrays of it and send me off packing to the surgeon, who follows the wire and scoops out cancer cells.
they gave me percocet yesterday and I took it this a.m., not realizing that the pain wasn't so bad. If I'd been aware of that I would not have taken it. Those narcotic drugs make me really sick unless I'm truly in pain. so I got really uncomfortable. Eventually I remembered the stale coke trick and took a sip...felt better right away and fell asleep.
Oh, and I was woken up by Tavia and her mom, Jana. They went in on a beautiful bouquet of flowers with Sable. Flowers are good chi for people in recovery. Unless they're allergic of course.
There, now I better dance over to the other blog and say what I just said here. sometimes life just does overlap, doesn't it?
