I'm getting excited about our somewhat monthly outing to Seattle on April 26. A motley group of us started going to dim sum brunches in Seattle's Chinatown and then decided to expand our taste buds' horizons. Thus the next outing is to Kokeb, an amazing Ethiopian restaurant that was sadly gone for a while, but I just discovered reappeared. Whew.
We're a fun group but I'm wondering about the name. Dim Sum Bunch plants the little seed that DIM might be the operative word. But we're really not. We're all bright as little new pennies. We do like to eat, the more exotic the better.
Here's the link to Kokeb. Try them out. http://www.kokebrestaurant.com/
They're near Seattle U.
Today we're back to rain so I'm posting a sunny day picture taken a few days ago when the sun warmed our souls tantalizingly. This will give us hope to carry on and wait patiently for the upcoming warmth.
By the way, Mark and Jenna's 1st day officially as "Whimsy & Spice" was at the Brooklyn Flea (a brand new flea market in Brooklyn, NY) this past Sunday. It was a huge success. Good for them; it was a lot of hard hard work. And thanks to daughter Lara for flying over for a week to pitch in. She's an angel. Look at my links list for Whimsy & Spice and their blog Sweet Fine Day. I'll be sure to let you know when you can order their delightful treats.
