Life is Good

Again, I feel like crowing from the mountaintops. It's good to be so happy so many days in a row. I recommend it. Yesterday I went to my volunteer job at CYS that I told you was such a good place to be. Because of the people. The picture partner to today's post is one of those people, Jana. She's a big burst of good chi and I just love being around her. We even are neighbors so walked home together for once. In a little bit of rain of course. I chuffed up the hills, she didn't chuff so I let her do all the talking.

I haven't been exercising very much...oddly enough it has a lot to do with a painful shoulder. At least, it seems that way now because I have finally gotten some good treatment for it and so am doing lots more walking. Which has always been my favorite exercise, so it's a relief to be able to do it without limits. Yay.

Off to work

Retired? I'm busier than ever. One of my favorite things to do is work at the Diversion Program in Community Youth Services. It's interesting but definitely the people are the reason I stay. I wanted to volunteer lots when I ditched the job, and the main criteria for where I give away my time is that it has to be with fun people who have a lot of integrity and I have to feel useful. This place does that.

I'm also working for one of my brothers...doing what I do best. Organize, write, problem-solve. I kinda pick what I want to work on and do it all from home. Amazing.

So I'm off to "work." Oh, meet Lucy. Our very fun standard red poodle.
