Smoothie time again

I've talked about my smoothies before but want to mention again how much I love having them for breakfast. I toss in a whole bunch of things I know I'm supposed to have every day, whir it up and drink it. There! Main thing, my berry quota. Doctor said to have a cup of berries a day. Easy to do in a smoothie. And my freezer has bags of great ones: marionberries, raspberries and blueberries. All from farms this summer. When those run out, I know the Co-op has plenty more. What else do I put in? flax seeds, malt powder, bee pollen, lecithin, yogurt, banana, juice, aloe juice. you get the idea.

This is Tom the Mug, by the way, exploring one of my smoothie journeys.

It seems winter has come to stay. In a way I like it; it's better when the weather makes up it's mind. The other times are hard...you think it's going to be a heat wave outside, but it's cold. And vice versa. Today I look out the window and see what the walkers are wearing; that's usually a good indication. They all have on warm hats so I know what's in store when I leave for my own walk. There's a bunch of haze or fog in the neighborhood, too. I'll be taking my camera when I leave; see if I can capture some weather moods.

Yesterday I got a little piece of furniture: a 5-drawer unit about 17" wide and 40" tall or so. (desperately needed!) It needs to be assembled....blech. So here I sit...a floor strewn with furniture pieces. And one piece of paper with hieroglyphics on it. I'm going to let osmosis take over and see when it will dawn on me what all those little screw holes are for. Screws yes...but which ones? Oh, and where's my Phillips screwdriver, anway? With any luck, it will be done soon, and to prove that I don't give up, I'll get a picture of it and post it here tomorrow. Root for me!
